Connecting Year 9 students across Victoria and the Asia-Pacific 

 

The Global Youth Forum program is a virtual, three-session learning program for Year 9 students in Victorian schools. It connects students in Victoria with their peers across the Asia-Pacific to develop global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and leadership skills.

EOI - 2024 STEAM Study Program to China: Shanghai and Hangzhou

The Asia Education Foundation and China Capability and Language Centre invite you to participate in an eight day in-country professional learning program to China. 

 

2024 STEAM STUDY PROGRAM TO CHINA
12-20 OCTOBER 2024

 

This program will provide the opportunity to:

•    build your knowledge and understanding of Chinese education system
•    participate in the 3rd Yinhu International Principal Symposium where you will connect with international school leaders and
•    visit three schools to explore different approaches to STEAM learning teaching.

 

This program will be led by the Executive Director of the Asia Education Foundation and the Head of the China Capability and Language Centre, both at the University of Melbourne.

Emerging Leaders Forum - Primary – Years 5 - 6

The Emerging Leaders Forum (Primary) is designed for Victorian students in Years 5 and 6, offering chances for them to connect and collaborate with peers from around the world. Students will explore intercultural communication, collaboration and what it means to be a globally competent leader.

The aim of the Emerging Leaders Forums is to provide earlier level curriculum entry points for Victorian schools, enabling them to embed global learning and engagement activities into their teaching, learning and student engagement initiatives. It also provides a learning pathway for engagement in the Emerging Leaders Forum - Junior Secondary for Years 7 and 8 students and the Global Youth Forum offered at Year 9 level.

Throughout the program, students engage in a range of activities and regular breakout rooms in small groups with peers from other schools and countries.

EOI - 2024 Australia-ASEAN Youth Summits

The Australia-ASEAN Youth Summits offer a unique platform for high school students from across Australia and Southeast Asia to walk in the shoes of leader and debate complex regional issues. 
Inspired by the March 2024 Special Summit hosted by the Australian Government, the youth summits bring together Year 9 and 10 students from Australia and students from ASEAN countries to simulate diplomatic dialogues and foster a network of future leaders.
